I am sure all of us have many old jerseys that are still nice to wear but not so pretty to look at.
Some of us can crochet, or at least know someone who can…….
So this is what I had.
I used my razor (yes the one I shave my legs with), to get rid of all the ugly fluff. It is time consuming to clean a Jersey with a razor, but worth the effort if you want to do a pretty Jersey make-over.
(The razor also works better than these fancy fluff cleaners)
I matched wool with the jersey and used the easiest patterns available for different crochet flowers and leaves.
I do not have time to crochet during a normal week, but when we travel and I don’t have to sit behind the steering wheel, I always have wool and a crochet needle in my handbag.
(And that is where al my crochet projects happen.)
The flowers and leaves were hand sewn with small stitches onto the Jersey – just make sure you pin them in place first and check 100% that both sides look the same.
A Jersey makeover – something new to wear and a lot of money saved!
