Add this flimsy flowing ladies top to your cupboard, made with only two stitch lines .
You can make the pattern yourself (find instructions on how to make the pattern here.)
This pattern will fit a person between size 36(12) and size 40(16)
(but it is easy to alter the size to fit someone bigger or smaller)
You need 1.3m fabric (It must by 150cm wide)
Use a soft stretch mesh fabric. (It drapes like sjiffon, but is much more comfortable to wear and easier to work with.)
All the edges (neckline included) are finished off by an overlocker roll hem.
Once the pattern is cut out on the fabric, you can sew on the lines – marked on the pattern.
Use a small zig zag stitch here, as this works better on stretch fabric. (A normal straight stitch will break when the fabric stretches.)
This it how the top looks spread open.
The side seams are the only seams to sew.
You can finish it off with your overlocker roll hem.
Be careful not to stretch the neckline too much while doing the roll hem
Wear this flimsy flowing top over your favourite camisole with a skirt, jeans and pants.
