I am very good at making notes. All different kinds of notes. Things I must do. Things I want to do. Things I want to remember and things I need to remember. Pretty things I want to see again. Inspiring things I want to add in my life. Things to read and things to write. The list is endless.
I have a diary and a desk pad. I have two blackboards in my sewing room. I have an smart phone. I have a notebook in my handbag. I have a notebook in my crochet bag. For blogging I have a special “blog note book” with different things and tips to remember.
But my notes are always missing. I can never remember where I wrote something down and time and again I spent hours looking for the note I made, for te things I want to remember.
So I tried something new. A new place to put all my notes.
My own DIY Pin board – big enough so that I don’t miss or lose my notes again.
You need a piece of hard board – 120cm x 60cm
Make two holes in the wood for hanging it against the wall.
I used my off cuts wadding/batting and built a puzzle on the wood, using glue to keep it in place
A second layer of bigger pieces wadding
A third layer of thin sponge
Then I made the front with small pieces of fabric adding a little lace and a cat – of course
I used long pieces of strong thread to pull it over the wood at the back
I made a hole through the fabric on the same place I made the hole in the wood.
Then I pulled the rope through.
I covered the back with a piece of calico to make it neat.
Then I did the easy part…………………
I called my husband to hang it for me!
Hopefully – my DIY pin board will do the trick of keeping all my notes together!
